Lee’s Summit, MO (February 26, 2022) – A crash reported in Jackson County on Thursday morning left one woman injured. At around 8:20 a.m., on February 24, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of an accident on Missouri State Route 291.
Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a 2008 Mini Cooper was stopped for traffic on Missouri State Route 291 just south of Scherer Road when it was rear-ended by a 2008 Hyundai.
The driver of the Mini Cooper, 18-year-old Kaycie Cooper, sustained injuries in the crash. Cooper was transported via EMS to Lee’s Summit Medical Center for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
