Monroe City, MO (February 7, 2022) – One person was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following an auto accident in Ralls County. At around 9:45 p.m., on February 4, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was requested on-site at a crash on US Highway 36.
Reports from authorities show that a 2017 Ford F-350 was attempting to make a left turn onto Route J from US Highway 36 when the vehicle became stuck in the snow. A pedestrian, 21-year-old Paymus Taylor, was attempting to help the driver of the truck remove the vehicle from the snow.
As Taylor assisted at the scene, a 2018 Kenworth T-680 came through the area and struck the towed unit of the pickup truck causing it to hit Taylor.
Taylor sustained injuries in the accident and was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital via Monroe County Ambulance.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
