Piedmont, MO (February 9, 2022) – One teen was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of injuries following a two-vehicle collision in Wayne County. At around 3:50 p.m., on February 7, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Highway 34.
Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper L E Hughes show that a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe failed to yield the right of way to a 2006 Ford Mustang on Highway 34 just three miles east of Piedmont. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
The driver of the Ford, 19-year-old Lindsey Allen, sustained injuries in the crash. Allen was transported by Wayne County ambulance to Parkland Farmington for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
