Annapolis, MO – Lewis Hale Loses Life in Car Accident on County Rd 118

Annapolis, MO (January 15, 2022) – An auto accident reported in Iron County claimed one man’s life on Friday afternoon. At around 2:20 p.m., on January 14, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on County Road 118.

Reports from local authorities show that a collision between a 2005 Mercury Mariner and a 2014 Polaris Ranger took place on County Road 118 just five miles north of Annapolis.

The driver of the Polaris, 89-year-old Lewis Hale, suffered fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
