Carthage, MO – Two-Vehicle MVA on I-44 Leaves One Woman Injured

Carthage, MO (January 19, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident in Jasper County sent one woman to a local hospital with injuries. On January 18, emergency crews were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on Interstate 44 just five miles east of Carthage.

Reports show that at 11:42 a.m., a 2005 Honda Accord crashed into the rear of a 2011 Toyota Corolla.

The driver of the Toyota, 47-year-old Angela Harness, sustained injuries in the accident. EMS transported the injured woman to Mercy Joplin for treatment and evaluation.

At this time, the Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
