East Prairie, MO (January 2, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Mississippi County on Saturday afternoon sent three people to area hospitals with serious injuries. At around 2:40 p.m., on January 1, calls for assistance were received regarding a crash on Missouri State Route 105.
Reports from authorities show that a 2008 Dodge Avenger crossed over the centerline of the roadway and crashed into a 1991 Ford F-150 on Missouri State Route 105 just one mile north of East Prairie.
Three people in the Ford were injured. EMS rushed 29-year-old Franklin Skinner and 34-year-old Ashley Carlyle to St Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau for care. Another ambulance transported 51-year-old Jessie Wasson to Missouri Delta in Sikeston.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
