Kansas City, MO (January 4, 2022) – Authorities were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a crash that left one man injured. At around 6:13 a.m., on January 3, emergency crews were notified that a crash took place on Interstate 29.
Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol Cpl J M Harrison show that a 2020 Nissan Altima and a 2018 Mitsubishi Mirage were involved in a crash on the southbound side of Interstate 29 in the area near mile marker 13.
The crash left both vehicles with moderate damage, requiring them to be towed from the scene.
The driver of the Nissan, 47-year-old Benjamin Douglas, was injured in the accident. EMS transported the injured victim to St Luke’s Hospital on Barry Road for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
