Lincoln, MO (January 1, 2022) – An auto accident in Lincoln County sent several people to area hospitals with injuries. At around 4:55 p.m., on December 31, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Highway 47.
Reports from local authorities show that a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban was driving through the intersection of Highway 47 and Ridge Road when the driver turned in the path of a 2013 Toyota Camry. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
The impact of the crash sent the Toyota off the right side of the roadway where it crashed into a 2014 GMC Sierra.
Four people in the Toyota were injured. EMS Transported two 9-year-old females to St Louis Children’s Hospital for care. A 12-year-old male was transported by Arch to St Louis Children’s Hospital. The driver of the Toyota, 61-year-old Amy Pyle, was transported to SSM Health St Joseph Hospital West while the 47-year-old driver of the Chevrolet, 47-year-old Christopher Nichols, was transported to an unknown hospital for the treatment of minor injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Christopher Nichols, Amy Pyle, and the three children injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
