Warren, MO (January 9, 2022) – One man has lost his life as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Warren County on Thursday evening, January 6. At around 9:30 p.m., authorities were called to the site of a crash on Interstate 70.
Reports from authorities show that 22-year-old Abby Emerick was driving a 2015 Honda Civic west on Interstate 70. For unknown reasons, the vehicle struck a pedestrian near mile marker 194.8.
The pedestrian, 55-year-old David Courtway, suffered fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Emerick was transported to SSM Health St Joseph Hospital Lake St Louis by EMS for the treatment of injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
