Appleton City, MO (July 9, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in St. Clair County left two people injured. At around 11:18 a.m., on July 8, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a crash on Route H.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2021 John Deere tractor and a 2021 Ford F3 50 collided on Route H, just 7 miles south of Appleton City. The incident caused significant delays in traffic as emergency crews closed off several lanes at the intersection. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.
Two people involved in the accident were injured. Medical personnel rendered aid to 20-year-old Shelby Bartz and 66-year-old Kenneth Alexander at the scene. Bartz was then transported to Ellett Hospital in Appleton City, Missouri for further care. Alexander was transported to Cedar County Memorial Hospital.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
