Bloomfield, MO (July 18, 2022) – Two people suffered injuries as a result of a pedestrian accident that ultimately claimed one man’s life. At around 1:40 p.m., on July 15, a crash was reported on County Road 525 that required assistance.
Officers what the Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted firefighters at the scene of a crash on County Road 525. Investigations show that 39-year-old Kimberly Carter, 65-year-old James Burns, and 70-year-old Rondal Taylor were all standing outside of a vehicle attempting to fix the breaks that were locked up on the towed camper.
For unknown reasons, the brakes on the 2012 Dodge ram disengaged, resulting in the camper striking all three pedestrians.
Rondal Taylor suffered fatal injuries in the accident and was pronounced dead at the scene. Burns and Carter both suffered injuries. Carter was transported to Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau for further medical care. Burns was transported to Southeast Health of Stoddard County in Dexter, Missouri.
The crash is under investigation at this time.
