Callaway, MO – Rita Pitt Injured in Pedestrian Crash on Route JJ near Oakcrest Lane

Callaway, MO (July 26, 2022) – A woman was left with serious injuries following a pedestrian accident in Callaway County. At around 6:30 a.m., on July 25, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to a crash that occurred on Route JJ.

Reports from MSHP trooper EC Penrod show that 66-year-old Rita Pitt was walking northbound on Route JJ. For unknown reasons, she was struck by a vehicle just north of Oakcrest Lane.

Pitt was seriously injured as a result of this accident. She was transported by ambulance to University Hospital, where she underwent emergency medical treatment.

The crash is under investigation at this time by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
