Cameron, MO (July 21, 2022) – A motorcycle accident reported in Clinton County left one man seriously injured. At around 2:45 a.m., on July 20, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash on US Highway 69 required assistance.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle and a 2000 Chevrolet Impala were both traveling southbound on US Highway 69. While traveling down the roadway, the hood of the Chevrolet flew back up and struck the windshield. As a result, the driver of the vehicle turned into a private drive and collided with the motorcycle in the process. The impact of the crash caused the motorcycle to overturn and come to rest on the roadway.
The motorcyclist, 31-year-old Neil Dodd, suffered serious injuries as a result of the accident. Dodd was transported by Cameron ambulance to liberty hospital for emergency medical care.
The crash remains under investigation at this time.
