Carthage, MO (July 18, 2022) – One woman was transported to Mercy Joplin following a truck accident that occurred in Jasper County. At around 9 a.m., on July 15, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, firefighters, and emergency medical services were all requested to provide assistance at the site of a crash that occurred on Interstate 49.
Reports from authorities show that a collision between a 2007 Mazda 5 and a 2014 Mack CXU occurred on Interstate 49 at the South Carthage city limits. The Mazda was totaled as a result of the crash and had to be towed by Schrader’s Towing from the scene.
The driver of the Mazda, 28-year-old Tristen McLanahan, suffered injuries in this truck accident. She was transported to Mercy Joplin by EMS for emergency medical care.
The crash is under investigation at this time by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
