Franklin, MO – Emma Weigle Injured in Car Crash on Highway 47 near Project Rd

Franklin, MO (July 4, 2022) – One woman was transported to a local hospital for the treatment of injuries following a crash that took place in Franklin County on Friday evening. Just after 7 p.m., on July 1, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a crash that occurred on Highway 47.

Reports provided show that a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu was traveling westbound on project road. As the vehicle approached the intersection of Highway 47, it became involved in a collision with a 2004 Volkswagen Jetta. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the accident.

A passenger in the Chevrolet, 20-year-old Emma Weigle, sustained injuries in the accident. She was transported by St. Clair ambulance district to Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri for emergency medical care.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
