Jefferson, MO (July 2, 2022) – Authorities were dispatched to the site of a motor vehicle accident in Jefferson that left two people injured. At around 5:10 p.m., on June 30, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 61.
Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2015 Dodge Dart and a 2021 Ford Bronco collided on the northbound side of US Highway 61 in the area near Scotts Lane. The incident left both vehicles with significant damage, requiring them to be towed from the scene.
EMS rendered aid to 18-year-old Adam Steffens and 34-year-old Lynn Fischer at the scene. Both victims were then transported by Rock Township ambulance district to Mercy Hospital South for emergency medical care.
