Jefferson, MO (July 28, 2022) – A major accident reported in Jefferson County left two people with significant injuries. At around 3:45 p.m., on July 26, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a major collision occurred on US Highway 67 that required immediate attention.
Preliminary investigations show that a 2013 Chevrolet Cruz was traveling southbound on US Highway 67. As the vehicle approached Long Road in the left lane, he became involved in a collision with a 2014 Ford Escape. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the crash and had to be removed from the scene by a local towing company.
The drivers of both vehicles sustained moderate injuries in the crash. Joachim Plattin Ambulance District transported 50-year-old Margie Coleman and 50-year-old Steven Sutton to Mercy Hospital in Jefferson, Missouri, where they underwent emergency treatment.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash at this time to determine the cause.
