Militia, MO (July 15, 2022) – A crash reported just outside of militia prompted the response of emergency medical services. Just after 1 p.m., on July 12, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a crash took place on US Highway 50 that required emergency medical attention.
Preliminary investigations provided by the MSHP show that a collision between a 2021 Jeep Cherokee and a 6400 John Deere farm tractor occurred on US Highway 50, on the east outside just 2300 feet east of Militia, Missouri. Both vehicles suffered significant damage in the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
Three people involved in the accident were injured. The drivers of both vehicles, 52-year-old Keith Forck and 44-year-old Kellie Bertels, were both transported to Capital Regional Hospital in Jefferson City for the treatment of moderate injuries. The third victim, a 14-year-old male, was transported to the same hospital for the treatment of injuries.
