Moniteau, MO – Yolanda Blandford Paton Injured in Auto Wreck on US-50 near US-50 Connector

Moniteau, MO (July 24, 2022) – A woman was hospitalized as a result of a vehicle collision that occurred in Moniteau on Saturday afternoon, July 23. Just after 1 p.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash that occurred on US Highway 50.

Reports show that a 2003 Chrysler PT cruiser was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of US Highway 50 near the US Highway 50 connector when he became involved in a collision with a 2016 Jeep Wrangler.

The Moniteau County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol at the scene as they closed off multiple lanes of the roadway. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and had to be towed from the scene.

One person involved in the accident, 65-year-old Yolanda Blandford Paton, suffered injuries in the crash and had to be transported by ambulance to SSM St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri, for emergency treatment.

The crash is under investigation at this time by the sheriff’s department.
