Perry, MO (July 10, 2022) – Two men were left with significant injuries following a motor vehicle accident in Ralls County. At around 12:45 p.m., on July 9, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a crash on Route J.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling on Route J when the driver fell asleep behind the wheel. As a result, the vehicle crossed over the center of the roadway and struck a 2011 Ford E-350. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
EMS rendered aid to 29-year-old Jordan Turner and 63-year-old Robert Yancey at the scene. Yancey was then airlifted by Survival Flight and flown to the University of Missouri hospital for emergency medical treatment of serious injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
