Poplar Bluff, MO (July 3, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Butler County left two people with injuries. At around 520 p.m., on July 1, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a collision between vehicles took place on Highway PP.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling on Highway PP when it failed to yield the right-of-way to a 1988 GMC Sierra just 4 miles west of Poplar Bluff. As the Jeep pulled out in front of the EMC, the two vehicles collided. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
Two people inside the GMC, 23-year-old Christian Gallamore and a two-year-old boy, were both significantly injured. Gallamore was transported by air EVAC to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau, Missouri for emergency medical treatment of serious injuries. The young boy was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for the treatment of moderate injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
Our thoughts are with Christian Gallamore and the child injured in this accident. We hope for their full recovery.
