Springfield, MO (July 5, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Greene County left two people injured. At around 2:20 p.m., on July 3, emergency crews were dispatched to the site of a crash that occurred on Missouri State Route 266.
Reports from local authorities show that a crash between a 2009 Buick Enclave and a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze occurred on Missouri State Route 266 in the area of Route T. The incident caused delays just five miles west of Springfield. The incident left both vehicles with extensive damage, causing delays throughout the area.
Emergency crews responded to the scene to render aid to the victims who were injured in the crash. One victim, 28-year-old Brian Hicks, was transported to Mercy Urgent Care in Carthage, Missouri for treatment. The second victim, 68-year-old Steven Joswiak, was transported to Mercy Springfield.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
