Springfield, MO – Truck Crash on I-44 Leaves One Man Injured

Springfield, MO (July 7, 2022) – Authorities in Greene County were dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident I sent one man to a local hospital with injuries. Just after 2:10 a.m., on July 5, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that acrostic place on Interstate 44.

Reports provided by local authorities show that a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire and a 2022 Kenworth tractor-trailer collided on the westbound side of Interstate 44, just 1.25 miles west of Springfield, Missouri. The Pontiac sustained significant damage as a result of the accident after traveling off the roadway and into the median.

The driver of the Pontiac, 30-year-old Allen Laurie, sustained injuries in the accident. He was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri for emergency medical treatment.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
