St Louis, MO – Six-Vehicle Wreck on I-55 near US-50 Leaves Nathan Dycus & Kathleen Simone Injured

St Louis, MO (July 17, 2022) – A man and woman were hospitalized as a result of a multivehicle collision that occurred in the St. Louis area. At around 630 p.m., on July 15, calls for assistance came in surrounding a crash that occurred on Interstate 55.

Investigations surrounding the accident demonstrate that a 2003 Honda CRV was traveling on the northbound side of Interstate 55. The vehicle is unable to stop in time for slowing traffic ahead near US Highway 50. As a result, the Honda crashed into the rear of a 2016 Chevy Silverado. A 2022 Ford F2 50 then struck the rear of a 2012 Mini Cooper. The impact of the crash sent the Mini Cooper into the side of the Honda. The Honda then overturned. Our 2013 Ford Explorer and a 2012 GMC Yukon both sustained minor damage due to debris from the accident.

Two people involved in the crash suffered injuries. EMS rendered aid to 39-year-old Nathan Dycus and 55-year-old Kathleen Simone at the scene. Both victims were then transported to Mercy Hospital South for further treatment.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
