St Louis, MO (July 18, 2022) – A collision reported in the St. Louis area sent two people to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for medical care. Around 1:40 p.m., on July 17, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 270 in the St. Louis area.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol and firefighters responded to the scene of the crash, which occurred on the southbound side of the interstate. Investigation showed that the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet sonic was traveling on the southbound side of Interstate 270 when the driver lost control of the vehicle just south of Missouri State Route 364. As a result, the vehicle collided with a 2017 Hyundai Tucson. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage as a result of the crash.
The two people involved in the crash were injured. Maryland Heights Fire and Rescue transported 60-year-old Joe Mcatee and 62-year-old Rosalind McCoy to Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for emergency medical care.
The crash is under investigation at this time.
