Benton, MO (June 27, 2022) – Two women were left with severe injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Benton on Friday morning. At around 9:10 a.m., on June 24, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on US Highway 65.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2015 Honda CRV in the 1999 Chevrolet suburban collided on the northbound side of US Highway 65 in the area of carpet barn Road. Both vehicles sustained extensive damage as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles were injured. EMS transported 36-year-old Sarah Edwards and 56-year-old Dorothy Day to Bothwell Regional Medical Center and said Dahlia, Missouri for emergency medical treatment.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
