Carterville, MO (June 13, 2022) – Two women were left injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident just outside of Carterville. At around 11:50 a.m., on June 10, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of an accident that took place on Highway AA.
Reports provided by authorities indicate that a 2009 Pontiac G8 in a 2020 Ford Ranger collided on Highway AA, just one mile south of Carterville. Both vehicles sustained significant damage as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles were injured. The two victims, 30-year-old Kayla Keeper and 61-year-old Brenda Southard, were both transported to Freeman West for emergency medical treatment.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
