Franklin, MO (June 12, 2022) – A young child was transported to an area hospital with injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Franklin. Just after 3:15 p.m., on June 9, calls for assistance came in surrounding an accident on Mill Hill Road.
Reports from authorities show that a yellow 2008 IC School bus was stopped at 1748 Mill Hill Road to allow an 8-year-old boy off the bus. As the child attempted to cross the roadway, a 2007 GMC Yukon crashed into the bus and struck the child.
The child sustained injuries as a result of the accident and was transported by St Clair Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital in Washington for further medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
