Franklin, MO (June 15, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Franklin sent several people to area hospitals with injuries. At around 1:10 p.m., on June 11, emergency crews were notified that a motor vehicle accident took place on US Highway 50.
Reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol indicate that a 2016 Chrysler Town and Country and a 2007 Hummer H3 collided on US 50 at the intersection of Missouri State Route 185. Both vehicles suffered damage as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
A total of six people inside the Chrysler were injured as a result of the accident. The victims were identified as an 11-year-old female, a 14-year-old male, a 17-year-old female, 19-year-old Jacqueline Diehl, 44-year-old Heather Diehl, and 47-year-old Brian Diehl.
All six victims were transported to Mercy Hospital in Washington for further treatment of injuries and evaluation.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
