Jefferson, MO (June 13, 2022) – Two people have lost their lives as a result of a motor vehicle accident that took place in Jefferson. Just before 10 a.m., on June 10, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that a motor vehicle accident took place on US Highway 67.
Reports provided by MS HP indicate that a collision between a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica and a 2015 Chevrolet Impala occurred on the northbound side of US Highway 67 at Papin Road. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
A total of four people suffered injuries as a result of the accident medical personnel transported 55-year-old Louis Strecker 4th to Mercy Hospital South for the treatment of moderate injuries. 70-year-old Marsha Bennett was transported by helicopter to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for emergency medical treatment of serious injuries.
Two other victims, 71-year-old Dellene Spegal and 85-year-old Jimmie Spegal, were both pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
