Joplin, MO (June 5, 2022) – A crash reported in Jasper County on Saturday afternoon sent two people to area hospitals with injuries. Around 1:10 p.m., on June 4, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to an auto accident on Missouri State Route 66.
Reports provided by MSHP indicate that a collision involving a 2007 Hyundai Elantra and a 2008 Chevrolet HHR took place on Missouri State Route 66 in the area of Central City Road. Both vehicles were totaled as a result of the accident and had to be towed from the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles were injured. EMS transported 60-year-old Lee Landry and 91-year-old Charles Searcy to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin Missouri for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
