Kennett, MO (June 14, 2022) – A major motor vehicle accident reported in Dunklin County left several people injured. At around 9:40 p.m., on June 10, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on US Highway 412.
Reports provided by authorities show that a 2004 GMC Yukon crashed into a 2018 Nissan Murano on the eastbound side of US Highway 412, just two miles east of Kennett. The impact of the crash caused the Nissan to strike a 2008 Chrysler Aspen. The Aspen then collided with a 2017 GMC Acadia. All four vehicles suffered significant damage and had to be towed from the scene.
A total of five people involved in the accident were injured. EMS transported a 15-year-old female to Arkansas Methodist Hospital in Paragould, Arkansas, for the treatment of injuries. A second EMS transported 28-year-old Briann King to Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital for the treatment of injuries.
29-year-old Melissa Morgan was transported to regional one Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. 51-year-old Donnie Lowe was transported to Arkansas Methodist in Paragould, Arkansas, for the treatment of injuries. The last victim, 56-year-old Sandra Morgan, was transported to Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital in Hayti, Missouri, for the treatment of serious injuries.
At this time, the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
