Malden, MO (June 5, 2022) – A pedestrian crash reported in the Malden area ended in injuries. At around 9:20 p.m., on June 3, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a crash on Dorothy Street.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that 75-year-old Rachel Loyd was walking in the area of 39906 Dorothy Street during the evening hours. For unknown reasons, a 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer reversed out of a driveway and struck her. The vehicle then continued backward and struck a parked 2012 Chevrolet Cruze.
Loyd suffered moderate injuries in the accident. She was transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
