St Francois, MO (June 4, 2022) – A traffic-related incident reported in the St Francois area left several people injured. At around 5:30 p.m., on June 1, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on US Highway 67.
Reports from authorities show that a 2014 Ford Explorer crashed into the rear of a 2016 Ford Fiesta on the northbound side of US Highway 67 as the vehicle approached stopped traffic near Fairgrounds Drive. The impact of the crash caused the Fiesta to strike a 2019 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
A total of four people involved in the accident were injured. EMS rendered aid to a 5-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy on-site. The girl was then transported to Parkland Health Center in Farmington along with another victim, 32-year-old Aleisha Gayler.
The young child was transported to Mercy Hospital in St Louis by EMS. The fourth victim, 34-year-old Andrew Lumsden, was transported to Mercy South in St Louis for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
