Ava, MO (March 17, 2022) – A young child was transported to a local hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident in Douglas County. At around 5:13 p.m., on March 14, emergency crews were notified that a collision between vehicles occurred on Highway O.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 1996 Dodge Ram pickup truck turned into the path of a 2018 Chevrolet Malibu on Highway O at the intersection of Route NN. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
A 7-year-old female passenger in the Chevrolet was injured in the accident. The young girl was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield for care.
