Benton Township, MO (March 31, 2022) – An auto accident reported in Howell County sent one woman to a local hospital with injuries. At around 10:55 a.m., on March 30, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified that an accident on Highway 160 required assistance.
Reports from MSHP Trooper C A Kimes show that a 2017 Jeep Wrangler was stopped on Highway 160 just two miles west of South Fork while delivering mail. For unknown reasons, the Jeep was struck from behind by a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe.
The Jeep’s driver, 40-year-old Paula Sanders, sustained injuries in the accident. Sanders was transported by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
