Buckner, MO (March 9, 2022) – An automobile accident reported in Jackson County on Sunday evening sent one woman to a local hospital with serious injuries. At around 6:20 p.m., on March 6, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was requested on-site at a crash on Route BB.
Reports from authorities show that a 2016 Ford Fiesta slowed for a vehicle ahead on Route BB near East Burgess Road. The Ford then began to slide. The Ford crossed over the center line and crashed into a 2008 Ford truck.
The driver of the truck, 47-year-old Alecia Moreno-Cruz, sustained serious injuries in the accident. She was transported by Ambulance to Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Missouri.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
