Deerfield, MO (March 3, 2022) – Several people were transported to area hospitals with injuries following a motor vehicle accident in Vernon County on Tuesday, March 1.
At around 9:30 p.m., authorities were notified that a major motor vehicle accident on US Highway 54 required assistance.
Reports from authorities show that a 2012 Ford F-150 was turning around in a driveway on US Highway 54 when it was struck by a 2021 Ford F-150. The 2021 Ford then crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a 2012 Dodge Avenger.
A total of four people involved in the crash were injured. Medical Helicopters were requested to transport 23-year-old Renee Cox and 48-year-old Scott Theis to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin.
Two other victims, 56-year-old Starla Kingfisher and 37-year-old Kristen Griffith were transported to Nevada Regional Hospital in Nevada for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
