Freeborn Township, MO (March 9, 2022) – A young child was left injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident reported in Dunklin County on Monday morning, March 7. Just after 7:15 a.m., authorities were requested on-site at a traffic-related incident on Missouri State Route 25.
Reports from local authorities show that a 2014 GMC Acadia and a 2014 Jeep Cherokee were stopped in traffic on Missouri State Route 25 just two miles north of Clarkton. At the same time, a 2005 Ford Focus traveling through the area struck the rear of the GMC. The impact of the crash caused the GMC to crash into the rear of the Jeep.
A 9-year-old boy inside the GMC was injured. The child was transported to Southeast Health in Dexter for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
