Holts Summit, MO (March 4, 2022) – One young child has lost their life following a motor vehicle accident in Callaway County. At around 9:40 p.m., on March 2, emergency crews were requested on-site at a motor vehicle accident on US Highway 54.
Reports from authorities show that a 2007 Mazda 3 was stopped on the westbound side of US Highway 54 just east of Route AA. For unknown reasons, a 2010 Chrysler Town and Country passing through the area struck the Mazda.
The crash left both vehicles totaled.
Several people involved in the accident were injured. The victims were identified as 40-year-old Elizabeth Miller, 40-year-old Paula Wilson, 23-year-old Anisya’s Wilson, an 8-year-old boy, and a 2-year-old boy.
The 2-year-old boy, Paula Wilson, and Anisya’s Wilson were all transported to University Hospital for care.
The 8-year-old child was transported by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center.
Elizabeth Miller was transported by Life Flight to University Hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities confirm that the 8-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries after arriving.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
