Independence, MO (March 30, 2022) – One woman was hospitalized as a result of a major motor vehicle accident involving a motorcycle that occurred on Sunday in Independence Missouri.
On March 20, emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of an auto accident on Truman Road.
Reports from authorities show that a 30-year-old female and her husband were traveling near the intersection of Truman Road and Holke Road while on a motorcycle. A vehicle passing through the area did not see the motorcycle and struck the vehicle.
Both occupants on the motorcycle were ejected. The two riders were then struck by a second vehicle.
The riders sustained severe injuries in the accident. EMS rushed both victims to area hospitals for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
