Jackson, MO (March 18, 2022) – One child was left injured as a result of a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning in Cape Girardeau County. At around 8:55 a.m., on March 16, emergency crews were notified that an accident occurred on Highway 72.
Reports from local authorities show that a 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck and a 2018 Ford F-150 pickup truck were involved in a collision on Highway 72 just three miles west of Jackson.
The rear-end collision left the back end of the Dodge and the front-end of the Ford with severe damage. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
A 2-year-old boy inside the Dodge was injured. EMS transported the child by Air Evac to St Louis Children’s Hospital in St Louis, Missouri for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
