Joplin, MO (March 6, 2022) – At around 1:40 p.m., on March 5, the Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of an auto accident on Missouri State Route 43.
Reports from authorities show that a 2000 Ford Taurus failed to yield the right of way to a 2009 Dodge Journey on Missouri State Route 43 just five miles south of Joplin. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
One driver involved in the crash was injured. EMS transported 69-year-old Mattie Anderson to Mercy Hospital in Joplin for emergency medical care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
