Liberty, MO (March 9, 2022) – Two men were left injured as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Clay County on Monday morning, March 7.
At around 5 a.m., the Missouri State Highway Patrol was requested on-site at a traffic-related incident on US Highway 69.
Reports from MSHP show that the driver of a 2014 Ford Fusion lost control due to ice on the bridge near US Highway 69 and Ford Motor Plant #3 Road. As a result, the vehicle struck a 2022 Kenworth. The Ford then collided with a 2017 Ford Fusion, pushing the Fusion into a 2020 International.
Two people involved in the accident were injured. Claycomo Fire transported 41-year-old Aaron Lott to Liberty Hospital for care. The second victim, 31-year-old Tyler Hurshman, was transported to North Kansas City Hospital.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
