Pawnee Township, MO (March 8, 2022) – An automobile accident reported in Platte County on Monday morning ended in injuries. At around 7 a.m., on March 7, emergency crews were requested on-site at a traffic-related incident on Interstate 635.
Reports from Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a Kia Spectra slid on the ice-covered roadway while traveling on the northbound ramp from Interstate 635 to Interstate 29.
A 2011 Toyota then overtook the Kia, causing it to strike a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, 49-year-old Dehyaa Al Ibadi, sustained moderate injuries in the accident. He was transported to St Luke’s Hospital for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
