Rescue, MO (March 23, 2022) – A multi-vehicle collision reported in Lawrence County on Tuesday evening ended in injuries. Just after 5:15 p.m., on March 22, emergency crews were dispatched to the site of a crash on Missouri State Route 96.
Reports provided by Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a collision between a 2011 Ford Taurus and a 2003 GMC Sonoma occurred on Missouri State Route 96 near the intersection of Missouri State Route 97. The impact of the crash caused the Ford and the GMC to crash into a 2019 Kia Rio and a 1999 Chevrolet suburban.
A 13-year-old male passenger in the GMC sustained moderate injuries. The victim was transported by EMS to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
