Sedalia, MO (March 10, 2022) – An automobile accident reported in Pettis County on Tuesday evening sent several people to area hospitals with injuries. At around 6:30 p.m., on March 8, emergency crews were requested on-site at a traffic-related incident on US Highway 50.
Reports from authorities show that a 2010 Toyota and a 2005 John Deer were involved in an accident on US Highway 50 just one-half mile west of Main Street. Both vehicles were left with moderate damage.
Four people in the Toyota were injured. EMS transported a 2-year-old boy and two girls, ages 4 and 12, to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City for care.
A fourth victim, 34-year-old Vita Olefirenko, was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center with moderate injuries.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
