St Charles, MO (March 9, 2022) – Three people were transported to area hospitals with injuries as a result of a motor vehicle accident in St Charles. At around 4:18 p.m., on March 6, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Interstate 70.
Reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol show that a 2008 Toyota Matrix was traveling on the eastbound side of Interstate 70 in lane four. A 2012 Mazda 5 was in lane two and a 2011 Ford F-150 was traveling in lane three. For unknown reasons, the Toyota entered into lane three and collided with the Ford. The impact of the crash caused the Toyota to crash into a guardrail and strike the Mazda.
A total of three people involved in the crash were injured. EMS transported a 12-year-old male, a 15-year-old male, and 48-year-old Brian Bishop to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital – Lake Saint Louis.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
