St Francois, MO (March 3, 2022) – At around 5:50 a.m., on March 2, the Missouri State Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a crash on Highway 67.
Reports from MSHP indicate that a collision between a 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup truck and a 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo occurred on Highway 67 at the intersection of Hildebrecht Road.
The driver of the Chevrolet, 84-year-old Keith Smith, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle, 83-year-old Virginia Smith, was flown by Air Evac to Mercy Hospital St Louis for care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
