St Francois, MO (March 22, 2022) – A motor vehicle accident reported in the St Francois area ended in injuries. Just after 11 a.m., on March 17, emergency crews were requested on-site at a crash on Highway 67.
Reports from authorities show that a 2014 Toyota Rav4 was traveling on Highway 67. As the vehicle slowed down just north of Missouri State Route 32 to avoid striking a trash can, it was rear-ended by a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe.
The driver of the Hyundai, 74-year-old Sonjia Hampton, sustained injuries in the crash. Hampton was transported to Parkland Health Center for further care.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
